Even many home owners will have to provide a run of 220 volt wiring to the area that their home tanning bed will be located and install a special 220 volt outlet.

For ease of installation it is best to select a home tanning bed that runs on 120 volts. But with some models you may need to buy a an extra piece of equipment called a “buck booster” to keep voltage constant. Not all home tanning beds require this so find out before you buy because this will cost you extra.
